Privacy statement

The DEC Alliance website may collect anonymous data about website visitors in order to improve the user experience. If you use the contact form on the website, the information you provide—name, email address, and/or telephone number—will be stored and used to respond to your question(s). In addition, the information may be used to send newsletters or other communications.

 

Relationships

DEC Alliance collects data from, among others, corporate finance firms and other intermediaries, private equity firms, advisors, and other interested parties. This information enables us, among other things, to contact the person in question to keep them informed about developments within our investment company, invite them to events, and arrange meetings for due diligence, commercial, and marketing purposes. The information collected includes: name, address, email, telephone number, occupation, and (professional) areas of interest.

Investors

From investors in the fund managed by DEC Alliance, the following information is collected and stored: name, address, email, telephone number, occupation, (professional) areas of interest, copy of ID, bank account number, marital status, and source of funds. This information is used, among other things, to process the subscription to the fund, verify that funds originate from legitimate sources, invite investors to shareholder meetings, initiate new capital rounds, and communicate fund updates. Without providing this information, a prospective investor cannot participate in a fund managed by DEC Alliance. (Potential) Managers and Employees of Alliance Companies

Information is stored about the management of alliance companies of the DEC Alliance fund, persons who may be interested in a (temporary) position with one of the alliance companies of a fund managed by DEC Alliance, employees of DEC Alliance, and potential employees. This information is used to communicate with these individuals, inform them about possible job opportunities, and assess their suitability for a role. For this purpose, the following information is stored: name, address, city of residence, email, telephone number, marital status, curriculum vitae, and areas of interest.

Chamber of Commerce and Company.info

DEC Alliance collects information from the databases of the Chamber of Commerce and Company.info. This includes: company names, names of directors and shareholders, address details, financial information, and legal information. This data is used to identify potentially interesting companies for investment, to assess whether to invest in a specific entity, and to approach potential investors.

Retention Period

Collected data is retained for as long as necessary for DEC Alliance to perform its activities and ensure continuity of its operations.

Access, Modification, Deletion of Data and Withdrawal of Consent

Data Recipients

From time to time, selected data may be shared with consultants or service providers working for DEC Alliance. This is done only insofar as necessary for specific activities and only for the duration of those activities. After completion, the consultant will be requested to delete the shared data.

Data Storage and Security

Servers and devices of our employees are equipped with up-to-date security software such as antivirus programs and firewalls. Should any unforeseen and/or unauthorized sharing of personal data with third parties occur despite DEC Alliance’s due care, DEC Alliance will notify the individuals concerned as soon as possible and request that the data be deleted by the relevant third parties.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, we ask that you contact us directly. A complaint regarding DEC Alliance’s handling of personal data may also be lodged with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
